Florists won't deliever on Sundays?
Why is it so difficult to find a florist that does Mother's Day delivery?
My mom is a nurse and works on Sundays - I'd like to have her some flowers sent but nooooooo.... "We don't deliver on Sundays!," is all I keep getting. I even tried 1-800-Flowers and they said their local shops in that area wouldn't deliver on Sundays.
Good grief.. I'm so frustrated. Any ideas?

Reply:My daughters both work for florists, and they have been busy since yesterday at dawn doing the mother's day deliveries. If it's important to you that it's delivered to her on Sunday, could you maybe find a friend or someone you know in the area to drop it off at the hospital?
If you call 1-800 flowers, they are just going to call a local florist, a lot of people don't understand that. My daughters were delivering valentine bouquets for 2 or 3 days after Feb 14 which were orders from 1-800 Flowers. I'm sure it will be the same for mothers day.

A new business was opening and one of the owners friends sent flowers for the occasion. but when the owner read the card with the flowers, it said, "Rest In Peace". The owner was a little peeved,and he called the florist to complain.
After he told the florist about the obvious mistake, the florist said, "Sir I`m really sorry for the mistake,but rather than getting angry, you should imagine this: somewhere there is a funeral taking place today, and they have flowers with a note saying, "Congratulations On Your New Location".
